My Master’s thesis posed a fundamental question—and once I started exploring it, I couldn't stop until I found the answer.
The topic was AI in Product Visualization at Hochschule Hannover. It wasn't chosen simply because AI was trending, but because I knew the real-world friction firsthand: How much time, money, and stress does a traditional CGI packshot or photography pipeline actually cost a business?
My answer was a structured methodology that unites real-world design craftsmanship with AI-accelerated workflows. Completed in January 2025 with a grade of 2.0, the scientific framework behind that thesis now powers every single project executed at Simdesigns.
The Thesis Challenge: Solving the Traditional Packshot Bottleneck
Standard product visualization often forces a trade-off: either spend weeks on manual 3D modeling and physical studio setups, or rely on unguided AI tools that lack geometric accuracy and brand consistency.
My Master's research developed a hybrid methodology to bridge this gap:

Human-Led Art Direction: AI serves as a force multiplier, but final composition, lighting physics, and quality control remain strictly guided by human expertise.
