AI in Product Visualization

Where Generative Algorithms Meet Human Craftsmanship

My Master’s thesis? AI in product visualization—well before it became the industry buzzword.

In January 2025, I completed my Master of Arts at Hochschule Hannover. My research topic wasn't chosen because AI sounded trendy, but because I was already implementing digital visualization tools daily in studio practice and wanted to get to the absolute core of how generative systems function.

How do you create truly believable, photorealistic renderings with AI? Where do algorithms genuinely accelerate production—and where can they never replace true design craftsmanship?

These exact questions continue to drive every visual asset engineered at Simdesigns today.

1. The Core Insight: AI Is a Tool, Human Experience Is the Engine

Generative algorithms can generate pixels in seconds, but they lack spatial logic, material physics, and strategic brand understanding. The central takeaway of my Master's research remains clear: AI is a powerful force multiplier, but the final visual authority still relies entirely on human design expertise and art direction.

To build high-converting product assets for e-commerce, Amazon listings, and industrial B2B catalogs, we bridge two distinct worlds:

  • Hard 3D/CAD Precision: We build or convert exact engineering geometry (STEP, IGES) using industry-standard tools (Autodesk Maya, Blender, KeyShot, Unreal Engine), guaranteeing 100% dimensional accuracy and realistic material shading.

  • AI-Accelerated Workflow: We integrate advanced generative AI tools (Midjourney, Google Flow, Gemini Gems) during early concept discovery, moodboarding, and environmental background staging—drastically reducing production timelines.

2. Uncompromising Transparency: EU AI Act (Art. 50) Compliance

Integrating AI into commercial workflows requires absolute legal clarity and consumer trust. In full accordance with Article 50 of the EU AI Act, Simdesigns upholds strict transparency standards for all synthetic and AI-assisted media:

Transparency Notice (EU AI Act, Art. 50):

Visual representations incorporating generative artificial intelligence are clearly identified. We strategically combine mathematically precise 3D CAD geometry with ethical AI staging to deliver innovative, legally compliant, and cost-effective design solutions for modern brands.

3. Direct Senior Collaboration from Garbsen / Hannover

I am Simon Feldbein, Senior Media Designer, 3D Artist, and founder of Simdesigns in Garbsen near Hannover.

Holding a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Design & Media and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Media Design from Hochschule Hannover—backed by official IHK certifications as a Digital & Print Media Designer and an official IHK Trainer qualification (AEVO)—I bring over 18 years of hands-on media production mastery to your brand.

When you work with Simdesigns, you skip traditional agency bureaucracy and junior delegation. As an ENFP, I listen first, understand the core value of what you build, and collaborate directly with you from the initial concept brief to final asset export. Operating fluently in English, German, and Russian, I help regional businesses and global brands elevate their visual communication.
